My Story
Neil Klein (he/him) is a composer, instrumentalist, and playwright. His original musical “Archie’s Weird Parody” played 3 weeks Off-Broadway at Theatre Row in January 2023. He was the music director. He has also written musicals such as “In My Head I’m 21” (Excerpts from Studio Recording is available for streaming) about a trans teen seeing prophetic visions; and “Playing Dead” which workshopped at Berklee College of Music in April 2023, produced by SuperHuman Arts. "Playing Dead" is about faking your death: the classiest escape around. He wrote the incidental music for Smith St Stage’s feminist “Measure for Measure” in Fall 2022, and also music directed. Additionally, Klein Musicals, LLC has started hosting readings of new work at Neil’s apartment. The first one was his own play, THE FTM BOOK CLUB. Neil is the founder and creative director of Klein Musicals, LLC. He believes in the weird art. Find him @neilrklein or kleinmusicals.com
